Sidewalk’s Big Push 2009 is now fully online, with all 6 edits available for viewing via MPora! For those of you who don’t know what the Big Push is; it’s a 6 team road trip competition across various cities in the UK, started by the now out of business skate mag Document. Sidewalk took on the duty of carrying on the competition, and this is the first itertation of the Big Push that they’ve produced. Whilst the Docu version traditionally featured board companies, Sidewalk decided to open this year’s comp to shoe companies in order to show a different range of skaters. They’ve also changed the format of the comp – in previous years, each team were free to roam to whichever spots and parks they liked in any area of the country, which lead to some teams skating the same spots and parks in their edits. The Sidewalk version gives each team a specific area of the UK that they are bound to, meaning each edit’s locations should have a slightly different feel to them. Some people dislike the changes, and some people think they make the Big Push better – I personally don’t really mind. However I’m a bit iffy on the shoe company idea!

Get on their, watch the edits and vote for your favourite clip. My personal favourite was the edit from Shiner, which you can see here. Funnily enough, Shiner isn’t even a shoe company, it’s a distrubuter!
